Racing against time to complete projects linked to the Commonwealth Games, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today asked the neighbouring states not to create legal and other hurdles to the efforts.
Addressing the 31st meeting of the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) here, she sought cooperation from all the member states of the board to make the event a great success.
"We need support of all the adjoing states to put in place the best infrastructure for the event," Dikshit said.
The meeting also discussed extension of metro trains to NCR towns and it was decided to constitute a committee for the purpose, including extending the tracks up to Faridabad and Bahadurgarh in Haryana.
Dikshit also requested the NCRPB to provide funds of Rs 222 crore for construction and modernisation of ISBTs at Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan.
